A logo maker that hands you real files

Most free logo makers let you design for free and charge you to download. LogoStudio does it the other way round: every export is free, and every file is built properly.

  • Vector SVG with outlined text. Opens in Illustrator, Figma, Canva or Inkscape without the font installed, and scales to a billboard.
  • The versions you actually need. Full colour, reversed for dark backgrounds, pure black, pure white and an icon-only mark.
  • Social-ready squares. Profile images sized for Instagram, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp.
  • Your brand kit follows. Your logo carries over to the brand kit, business cards and favicon generator. You never type it in twice.

How to make a logo here

  1. Name it. Add your business name and, if you like, a short tagline.
  2. Describe it. A few words (“dog grooming van in Leeds”) steer the symbols and colours. Use “AI designer concepts” for a closer fit.
  3. Pick a concept. Choose the one that feels closest; it opens in the editor.
  4. Refine. Swap the symbol, try other fonts, check contrast, and preview it on dark and in one colour.
  5. Download. Grab the ZIP, then build your brand kit.

Questions people ask

Is this logo maker really free?

Yes. Generating, editing and downloading are free with no signup and no watermark. You get SVG and PNG files, a reversed version, one-colour versions and square social icons in one ZIP.

How does the AI logo generator work?

You describe your business in a sentence. The AI reads it and chooses symbols, fonts, colours and a layout from LogoStudio's vector toolkit, then explains the idea behind each concept. Because the result is built from vector parts rather than a painted image, you can edit every detail and export a crisp SVG.

Can I use the logo commercially?

Yes. The symbols come from the Phosphor icon set (MIT licence) and all fonts are under the SIL Open Font License, both of which allow commercial use. Because the building blocks are shared, you cannot register a stock symbol on its own as a trademark; if you plan to trademark your logo, customise it well or have a designer refine it, and check with a trademark attorney.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There are no accounts. Your current logo, saved logos and brand kit are kept in your own browser (localStorage) so they are still there when you come back on the same device. You can clear them on the privacy page.

What file formats do I get?

SVG (vector, text converted to outlines so no fonts are needed), transparent PNG at 2000px, a PNG on your background colour, and 400px and 1080px square profile images. The favicon generator adds ICO and app icons.

Is there a truly free AI logo generator?

LogoStudio is free end to end: AI concepts, editing and every download (SVG, PNG, ZIP pack) cost nothing, with no signup or watermark. Many other “free” logo makers let you design for free but charge for the high-resolution or vector download.

Can AI-generated logos be trademarked?

In the US, the Copyright Office has said that purely AI-generated material is not protected by copyright, but trademark law is different: a logo used in commerce to identify your business can be registered as a trademark if it is distinctive. Stock symbols on their own are weak; customise the design and ask a trademark attorney before filing.

What makes a good small business logo?

It stays readable at 16 pixels, works in one colour, has no more than two typefaces and suits the business. Test it with the scale and one-colour previews in the editor before you print anything.
